Game Theory: An Interactive Exploration

Foreword

This is a very rough draft of a textbook for game theory, which I’m developing to use in Econ 51 at Stanford. It will be changing constantly as I use it and reconsider how to organize it, so please speak with me before using it in a course.

I owe an intellectual debt to Joel Watson’s Strategy and Robert Gibbons’ Game Theory for Applied Economists, both of which were formative to my ideas of teaching and writing about game theory.

I’m also grateful to Ilya Segal, Liran Einav, Mark Tendall, and all my many TA’s and students who have helped shape Econ 51 and refine the way I think and write about this material.
